We were just able to make our second-largest single donation since starting Dogwood Pack! Thanks to a very generous supporter who believes in what we're building, we were able to not only donate a blanket to every single cat at the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society, but we were also able to donate two large cases of Fancy Feast cat food!
A Special Donation for a Special Reason
When we initially received the donation, we knew we had to do something special for a feline rescue because the supporter had just bought a blanket for their late cat. It meant so much to us to be trusted enough to design such an important memorial blanket for someone else! It's designing custom pet blankets like these that keep us motivated to continue what we set out to do since we started this tiny brand with big aspirations!
Why We Chose Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society
After discussing our options, we finally landed on donating a blanket to every single cat at the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society in Salisbury, Massachusetts. But to make this extra special, we went on to browse the rescue's Amazon wishlist to find the things they needed most. This led us to buy two large cases of Fancy Feast cat food, which was a priority item for the rescue! It's so special to us knowing that all these shelter cats are now sleeping with new blankets as well as receiving plenty of food before they find their forever homes!
Meeting the Cats at Merrimack River Feline Rescue
Once we gathered all the cat blankets and food together, we made our way to this amazing cat rescue in Massachusetts. They are always so accommodating in allowing us to check out the cats and give them all the attention and pets they deserve. We were able to meet such friendly cats like Simon, who was the most playful little thing! He loved jumping up and down for his cat toys and eventually went on to get the zoomies and go crazy running around the room!
We were also able to meet cats like Evelyn and Creme Brulee, who were both such sweet cats that are a little bit shyer than most, making them have a much harder time getting adopted. Evelyn has been with the rescue for 8-9 months now and is still looking for her forever home. She has the cutest little mustache on her face and would love a patient family that can bring out her true colors! Creme Brulee is a fluffy little girl who will do anything for some Churu treats! She was so happy to be involved the second the treats came out, and with some patience, she can turn into such an amazing cat!

We are so thankful to the volunteers at Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society for being so helpful throughout the duration of the donation process, and we are also incredibly grateful for the supporter that made this all happen.
