Our Second Donation Drive Drop-Off to Sweet Paws Rescue

Our second donation drive drop-off is in the books!! This time, we were able to drop off plenty of blankets, towels, and other goodies to Sweet Paws Rescue in Groveland, MA! The donation drive is coming together so nicely as we were able to donate another 19 blankets, 30 towels, 8 collars, 8 harnesses, and some doggy clothes! This brings our total to 29 blankets, 40 towels, and plenty of other dog and cat items like toys and collars.

About Sweet Paws Rescue

Sweet Paws Rescue is truly one of a kind. They are a completely grassroots, volunteer-powered, foster-based rescue with no physical shelter, which means every single animal in their care is placed in a loving foster home rather than a kennel. Since 2011, they have rescued close to 22,000 puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats that would not have had a chance at life otherwise, primarily working within two of the poorest counties in Mississippi and Alabama where resources for animals in need are incredibly limited.

Sweet Paws also serves as a New England resource for abandoned and displaced animals, as well as animals seized in cruelty cases right here in their home state. The dedication and heart it takes to run an organization like this entirely on volunteers and fosters is something we have so much respect for, and we are incredibly grateful to be able to support the work they do every single day. If you are looking for a rescue organization to support, follow, or foster for, Sweet Paws Rescue is about as deserving as it gets.

Meet Eden 🐾

After dropping off all of the donations, we of course could not leave without spending some time with the animals! Every visit to a rescue reminds us exactly why we started Dogwood Pack in the first place, and this one was no different.

One of the most memorable moments from our visit was getting to meet the absolutely adorable Eden! Eden is a sweet little puppy who was heading into a foster home, which is such an exciting step on her journey to finding her forever family. She was so full of energy, curiosity, and love, and it was impossible not to fall completely in love with her the second we met her.

Seeing a puppy like Eden take that next step toward a forever home is exactly the kind of moment that keeps us going. Foster families play such an incredible role in the rescue process, giving animals like Eden the love, stability, and care they need to thrive before finding their permanent home. If you have ever thought about fostering, Eden is a perfect reminder of just how big of a difference it can make for an animal in need.
