We have huge news to announce here at Dogwood Pack! With the help of a generous supporter who believes in what we are building, we were able to make our fourth donation to an animal shelter. This donation was unlike the others and marks a major milestone for our mission.
Instead of donating smaller batches of blankets to local rescues, we were able to make a massive donation of 92 cat and dog blankets to an animal shelter located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, called Humane Animal Treatment Society (HATS).
At the time of the donation, HATS was caring for 52 dogs and 35 cats, so we made sure there were enough blankets for every single animal in their care. Knowing that each dog and cat now has a soft, warm place to rest makes this donation incredibly meaningful to us. This is our largest donation to date, and it motivates us more than ever to continue growing and giving back to shelters in need.
We cannot thank @adventures_of_helga_dog on Instagram enough for helping make this donation possible. We encourage everyone reading to follow their account and see the adventures of Helga, a beautiful American Bully who was rescued herself and now helps other animals in need through initiatives like this.
We would also like to sincerely thank the team at Humane Animal Treatment Society for being so cooperative throughout the entire process. They were quick to respond to emails and even took the time to send us photos and videos of the dogs and cats enjoying their new blankets, despite how busy this time of year can be for shelters. We encourage everyone looking for a new pet to check out their adoptable dogs and cats!
