How Buying a Dogwood Pack Custom Pet Blanket Helps Animal Rescues

Here at Dogwood Pack, we want to do all we can to help the animals out there who are still waiting for their forever home. The biggest reason we started this brand in the first place was to allow us to better provide for animals in need who may be stressed or cold in animal shelters locally and across the country. We want to be known for so much more than our custom pet blankets and custom dog shirts, but instead for what we actually do for these animals.

When you purchase a custom blanket or shirt from our website, you can rest assured that a shelter animal in need will be getting a blanket they can call their own. These blankets make such a huge difference for dogs and cats as they wait for their forever home in often overcrowded shelters that can cause so much stress. When they get a blanket, our hope is that these comfort items can help alleviate that stress, however small it may be. So far in the seven months since we started Dogwood Pack, we have donated 212 blankets to animal rescues such as the Salem Animal Rescue League, the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society, Sweet Paws Rescue, and the Humane Animal Treatment Society in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, among others.

We have also made sure that we do not stop at blankets. We want to make sure these animals have everything they need to feel comfortable while they wait for their forever home. Whether that means donating dog beds for added comfort, getting pup cups for the dogs so they can enjoy a sweet treat for a change, or picking up extra durable dog toys before our visits, we want to make sure these dogs and cats are as well taken care of as possible while they are waiting.

Not only does buying a custom pet blanket allow us to keep donating blankets and other necessities to animal rescues, but it also allows us to keep advocating for dogs that may be misunderstood. Giving these animals another platform to be seen and celebrated on only increases the likelihood of them getting adopted and finding the loving home they deserve.
